Zechariah knew that his miracle son, John, would prepare the way for the Messiah, and that the Messiah would "shine on those living in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the path of peace." Jesus is this light that shines on a world in darkness. He is the light of the world!
Today, we have a really fun craft to remind us of how Jesus is the light shining in the darkness, and we memorize Isaiah 9:2.
